| 『25年ぶりにベルギーを訪ねて』 |
1979年4月に、家族と共にパリで生活をはじめたことがキッカケで、帰国後25年ほどの間、娘や息子たちを描き続けることになった。
滞仏中にも、妻とまだ幼かった子供たちと共にパリから300キロほどのブルージュやゲントにも旅したことがあった。2003年秋、実に四半世紀ぶりにベルギーをスケッチするために訪ねたが、その印象、市街の景観が、その当時とほとんど変ってないように思えて、まるでタイムスリップしたかのような不思議に感動を覚えたのである。 |
